My story

A man and a young girl outdoors during autumn, with trees showing fall foliage in the background. The man has glasses, facial piercings, a beard, and is smiling. The girl has curly hair, is smiling, and is holding a small stick.

Pawtraits isn’t just a business — it’s part of my recovery, my healing, and my second chance at the life I almost lost.

For years, I was stuck in a place where I couldn’t see beauty in anything, including myself. But recovery teaches you to rebuild — one day at a time, one choice at a time, one honest moment at a time. When I got sober, I needed something that made me feel connected to the world again. Art became that thing. It wasn’t loud or dramatic — it was quiet, patient, forgiving. Just like recovery.

I started sketching pets and people because they remind us of unconditional love — the kind that doesn’t give up on you even when you’ve given up on yourself. What began as simple drawings during sober living turned into a purpose: creating something gentle, meaningful, and joyful for others.

Today I’m a dad, and everything I do is for my kid — to show them that strength doesn’t mean perfection. It means trying again. It means being present. It means loving hard and choosing hope every day. Pawtraits helps me do that. Every portrait is a reminder that life can be beautiful again, even after chaos. Especially after chaos.

So when you order a Pawtrait, you’re not just getting art.
You’re helping support a life rebuilt with gratitude, family, recovery, and love.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing in second chances. And thank you for letting me share something beautiful with you.
